I went to see a documentary film set up by AFI Dallas at the Meyerson called Beethoven's Hair (
www.beethovenshair.ca). It's a canadian film and the writer/researcher/producer was there! He was extremely interesting and is part of
Xenophile Media. I got to talk to him briefly which was awesome!
The film was very good as it intertwined the journey of this lock of Beethoven's hair and the journey to discover what may have caused Beethoven's death. The story was a nice balance of lighthearted jokes and feelings with the intense drama behind who beethoven was. They incorporated many clips from old beethoven movies to make everything more dramatic. What I loved most about the film was how they incorporated so many different people from different backgrounds and how Beethoven's music and hair had affected them. It was truly an amazing documentary!
I think it's a sign I should look into documentary filmmaking... It's so much more meaningful... and that's what I need!
Now for other news... That documentary on Hope For Africa I made as well as some press releases have created a ton of press for our movement, Blake and Kate were on Good Morning Texas today! I am amazed at how its taken off!
Next we are trying to plan a benefit concert for HFA and Water is Basic! We may have sanctus real and/or Meriwether to headline along with local/student bands to open! I'm SO EXCITED!
BTW, If anyone wants to help please let me know!
